What's new?

Our filter housings are typically delivered with a phosphating treatment, which provides basic corrosion protection and enhances coating adhesion. This typically protects the housings during transport and storage from corrosion. In most cases, customers paint the housings themselves after installation.

On request, the pressure filter housings of the SF series can now be powder-coated in your desired color. This expansion allows us to better cater to your specific requirements and aesthetic preferences. You can choose from all RAL colors, all NCS colors, and special colors based on customer samples.

How does powder coating work?

Powder coating is an innovative coating process where electrically charged powder is applied to the surface of the filter housing. This powder is then melted in an oven, forming a uniform, durable layer. This method is characterized by high resistance to corrosion, chemicals, and mechanical stress. It also offers a wide range of color and texture options, greatly expanding the design possibilities for our customers.

Powder coating vs. painting

Compared to traditional wet painting, powder coating offers significant advantages. It is not only more affordable but also faster, as no long drying times are required. Additionally, powder coating is more environmentally friendly, as it releases fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and generates minimal waste. Powder-coated housings are more resistant to wear and environmental influences, increasing the longevity of our products. This was confirmed in the cross-cut test according to DIN EN ISO 2409.

This is particularly relevant for outdoor use. Our filters are often used in mobile hydraulics, where the components are subjected to high stresses such as extreme temperatures, humidity, temperature changes, UV radiation, and ozone. The mechanical stress on the components is also particularly high here.
