Head of HR and first point of contact for questions regarding employment and training
On 3 August 2020, a total of 11 new apprentices started their training in different technical and administrative areas at STAUFF Germany, including – as in previous years – specialists for warehouse logistics or metalworking, industrial clerks, process mechanics and machining mechanics.
For this first time, one apprentice will be trained as an e-commerce clerk from this year, who is designated to support the newly created STAUFF digital unit at the Dortmund site in the future.
The apprentices also include three degree apprenticeship students, who are aiming to gain a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in addition to the training at vocational school and in the company.
The first day focused on a detailed presentation of the company. The agenda also included the safety instructions mandatory for new hires, information on company policy, corporate targets and key figures as well as an introduction to the STAUFF ideas management. This programme offers employees the opportunity to submit ideas and suggestions for improvement to actively participate in the development of the company.
A tour of the STAUFF sites in Werdohl, Plettenberg, Neuenrage and Meinerzhagen was scheduled for day 2.
The future skilled workers spent the third day of their apprenticeship in fine weather at the Mosaik outdoor centre Sorpesee in Sundern. This included a visit to the high-ropes course with a breathtaking view of the Sorpesee lake, where all STAUFF apprenticeships who started in 2018, 2019 and 2020 had the opportunity to get to know each other better, identify joint potentials and grow as a team. Fun, thrills and a good dose of adrenalin were guaranteed!
