What is STAUFF Impact?
STAUFF Impact is our sustainability strategy at STAUFF, which goes far beyond climate-friendly measures.
Our approach and vision is holistic: we consider all dimensions of sustainability and combine ecological, social and economic aspects.
Our aim is to develop and implement both short-term and long-term measures in all areas that have a positive impact on our corporate sustainability.
STAUFF Impact is our commitment to making the company sustainable and fit for the future while bringing about concrete changes - for a better environment, satisfied employees and long-term corporate success.
Our three dimensions of sustainability
Social sustainability
At STAUFF, we take responsibility for people - both inside and outside our company. For us, social sustainability means creating fair and safe working conditions, investing in training and further education and strengthening the well-being of our employees. At the same time, we are actively committed to our social environment - today and in the future.
In Sauerland in particular, our home region, we provide targeted impetus, invest in our locations and thus strengthen the region in the long term.
Economic sustainability
At STAUFF, we see economic sustainability as an integral part of our holistic approach. Our aim is to do business responsibly, efficiently and with an eye to the future. With long-term strategies, innovative solutions and a conscious use of resources, we create stable values - for our customers, our partners and future generations.
Ecological sustainability
As a company, we take responsibility for the environment and climate. As part of our sustainability strategy, we implement targeted measures to reduce our CO₂ emissions - efficiently, measurably and effectively in the long term.
Target: Reduction of CO₂ emissions* by 55% by 2035
*Refers to CO₂ emissions from Scope 1 and Scope 2
How we will achieve our goal
Energy-efficient lighting
An intelligent lighting system using LED technology and customised sensors ensures energy-efficient and low-emission lighting.
Environmentally friendly ventilation systems
Instead of energy-intensive air conditioning systems, part of our production hall is ventilated with cool outside air from the hillside. This avoids additional emissions.
Heat recovery for compressed air and cooling
Utilisation of the heat generated by compressed air production and industrial cooling through heat recovery systems.
Optimisation of the cooling supply at the Meinerzhagen site
Using state-of-the-art technology, we utilise the waste heat from machines for heating in winter and convert excess heat into cooling in summer - energy-efficient and climate-friendly.
Combined heat and power generation and adsorption chiller
By using a combined heat and power unit in combination with an adsorption chiller, the aim is to generate heat and cold efficiently from a single energy source.
