Design change to FI-RSW Banjo Elbows
Proven performance in an optimised design
As part of our ongoing product optimisation, we are gradually transitioning the FI-RSW Banjo Elbows to a new, forged design. The aim of this change is to further improve user-friendliness without compromising on function, quality or compatibility.
What’s changing?
The previous version made from square bar stock is being gradually replaced by a forged version. The change affects only the external appearance of the products.
For users, this means:
- Technical properties remain unchanged
- Performance characteristics remain unchanged
- Dimensions remain unchanged
- Handling and installation remain unchanged
- Full compatibility with previous versions
- Order designations and item numbers also remain the same
Applications of the FI-RSW
Banjo Elbows from the FI-RSW series are particularly commonly used in Construction Machinery such as excavators, wheel loaders, mobile cranes and road construction machinery, where, due to confined spaces, they enable flexible 90° pipe connections to valve blocks, control blocks, hydraulic motors and pumps. These connectors are also very common in agricultural and forestry machinery. In such applications, vibrations and shock loads can occur, which is why the connector’s flexible alignment capability is highly valued.
Improved handling thanks to optimised design
An additional advantage of the new design stems from the elimination of the previous square geometry. This means there are no longer any sharp edges, which makes handling easier in day-to-day use.
Notes on the transition phase
As the changeover is taking place gradually and part numbers remain unchanged, mixed deliveries containing both the previous and new versions may occur during the transition period.
Regardless of the specific production version, both variants meet STAUFF’s usual high standards of quality and performance.
