Analogue STAUFF hydraulic testers with brass and aluminium housing for mechanical and therefore network-independent flow rate measuring of hydraulic media flow in mobile and industrial hydraulics. For load testing of the hydraulic system, the SDMKR is equipped with a load valve for targeted control of the working pressure. This product also accepts reverse flow (without flow metering). The SMD on the other hand can and must not be subjected to reverse flow. Designed for installation in straight tubes.

The analogue flowmeters in the SDM and SDMKR series from STAUFF enable the mechanical and therefore mains-independent measurement of flow rates in hydraulic systems. They are ideal for mobile hydraulics and industrial hydraulics, e.g. for functional testing, commissioning or troubleshooting in the hydraulic circuit. The SDMKR also has an integrated load valve that enables targeted control of the working pressure - ideal for load tests and diagnostics under real operating conditions.

How the flowmeters work

STAUFF flowmeters work with a sharp-edged orifice and a conical measuring piston that moves in proportion to the flow rate. The resulting differential pressure presses the piston against a spring - this movement is transmitted to the scale via magnetic force.
This design minimises viscosity influences and enables precise, repeatable measurement.

The SDMKR also has an integrated load valve:

  • enables controlled pressure increase in the system

  • allows realistic load tests under different operating conditions

  • Protects the system with integrated bursting discs (release > 420 bar)

The SDM must not be flowed through backwards, while the SDMKR can be flowed through backwards (without measuring effect).
